Greenwood Family Physician Clinic made a very generous donation of $500.00 to the Sundre Nurses Education Fund in support of our nurses for Nurse Appreciation Week 2021.Sundre Hospital Futures partners with the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation, Olds Health Care Fundraising Committee, and Rimbey Health Services Donation Committee on various fundraising programs from time to time.

We want to send a BIG SHOUT-OUT to the Greenwood Family Physician Clinic (pictured right). They made a very generous donation of $500.00 to the Sundre Nurses Education Fund in support of our nurses for Nurse Appreciation Week, May 2021.

Our most recent fundraiser was a 50/50 Cash Raffle. The draw was made and the winner was from Rimbey - AND they donated half back! Check it out here.

  • We are hoping to be able to get together with you in the summer in an outdoor celebration setting. Volunteers are sketching out plans for a "Rednecks & Roundabouts" fundraiser in August.
  • Joyce Wicks has been leading SHPARC (Sundre Health Professional Attraction and Retention Committee), as they continue to keep the hardworking frontline staff in their view, during this stressful and challenging COVID situation. 100 "Scrub bags" were provided for staff to put their work clothes in at the end of shift. Joyfully sewed by Shelley Ingeveld and gratefully received by staff - 100 bags strong!
  • RhPAP (Rural Health Professions Action Plan) assisted with an online virtual trade fair titled "Let's Go Rural" featuring five rural towns including Sundre. This trade fair was aimed at Red Deer College nursing students and had over 70 participants.

DID YOU KNOW? - Sundre has a 30% higher rate of cardiac incidents than the rest of Central Zone.

  • In keeping with our "grow your own" motto we have partnered with Campus Alberta Central and Greenwood Neighborhood Place to offer a Health Care Aide course here in Sundre. The program started in January 2021 and has 10 students registered - 8 from Sundre and 2 from the surrounding community.

The Sundre Hospital Futures committee provides an avenue through which the general public can provide bequests and financial support to enhance and improve the delivery of healthcare in the Sundre District Health Services area.
Community Health Centres, like the hospital and clinics in Sundre Alberta offer a variety of services and programs for all ages that help communities maintain and improve their health.
The Foundation Board endeavours to obtain a priority list of items and needs throughout all phases of local healthcare.
